Introduction to Biohealth Fertilizer from Germany:
Biohealth Humic Acid Fertilizer is a water-soluble organic biofungicide based on humic acid (potassium humate), seaweed extract, and the beneficial bacteria Bacillus subtilis and the fungus Trichoderma harzianum. A combination of humic acids, very effective seaweed extract (Ascophyllum nodosum), and beneficial microorganisms supports healthy and strong plant growth.
The water-soluble mixture of beneficial fungi (antagonists) combats fungal or bacterial pathogens present in the soil, creating a stable and potent combination with humic acid and seaweed extract.
Beneficial microorganisms (Trichoderma harzianum) feed on root exudates in the rhizosphere and increase plant resistance to pests, enhancing microbial populations in the soil and rhizosphere.
The Bacillus bacteria mobilize inactive nutrients and make them available to plants. Both humic acid and seaweed extract stimulate root growth.
Biohealth® TH WSG acts as an excellent soil conditioner.
Trichoderma harzianum Fungus:
The fungus Trichoderma harzianum is one of the main plant probiotics that are compatible with nearly all soil types and climates around the world. In recent years, it has gained special importance as a biological fungicide in fertilizers, playing a crucial role in controlling and reducing plant diseases and enhancing organic farming.
The Trichoderma fungus, in collaboration with plant roots, generates a range of plant mechanisms such as the production of growth hormones, siderophores, and enzymes with antifungal and antibacterial properties, such as chitinase, glucanase, and antibiotics. These processes not only improve plant growth and performance but also protect plants from soil-borne pathogens and abiotic stress factors. As a result, the use of fungicides and chemical fungicides is significantly reduced, and the biological structure of the soil becomes active and alive.
Bacillus subtilis Bacteria:
In short, the most important and special ability of Bacillus subtilis bacteria is its ability to increase the fermentation processes of nutrient molecules that are either in elemental or fresh form in the soil.
Bacillus subtilis is a beneficial bacterium in the plant life cycle, creating a protective wall that reduces the damaging effects of fungi on the roots and plays an essential role in integrated pest management. In this product, the combination of Bacillus subtilis and Trichoderma fungus provides excellent results, placing this fertilizer among the top 100 innovations worldwide in 2018.
If optimal conditions are maintained in the soil and a conducive growth environment is provided, this bacterium will multiply and remain in the soil, offering long-term benefits.
Note: Using fungicides or bactericides can destroy these living organisms in the soil, so it is better to use this biological fertilizer before plants become infected with fungal diseases.
Why Biohealth Fertilizer?
🍃 This biofungicide-fertilizer controls root and collar rot diseases in vegetables, such as tomatoes, collar and root rot in trees caused by fungal pathogens like Phytophthora and Pythium, seed rot after planting, damping-off in vegetables caused by fungi like Phytophthora, Pythium, and Rhizoctonia.
🍃 It provides excellent prevention against plant-parasitic nematodes and soil-borne bacteria.
🍃 It effectively controls yellowing in orchards caused by nutrient blockages in the soil and yellowing due to vascular diseases.
Benefits of BioHealth Fertilizer:
✅ Biological fungicide containing Trichoderma harzianum fungus and Bacillus subtilis bacteria
✅ Reduces fungal and microbial diseases
✅ Increases the accumulation and mobility of beneficial soil bacteria and activates soil biology
✅ Has a synergistic effect with other beneficial agents in the soil
✅ Enhances the plant’s resistance to biological stress (plant pathogens and pests) and abiotic stress (drought, high or low temperatures, and salt stress)
✅ Increases the availability of nutrients in the soil for plants
✅ Stimulates root growth and overall plant performance; in fact, this fertilizer strengthens root growth and helps regenerate damaged roots.
✅ Increases the soil’s buffering capacity, especially under unfavorable pH conditions
✅ Enhances seed germination and promotes their growth
Applications of BioHealth Fertilizer:
🍃 Agricultural crops and vegetable farming
🍃 Vegetable production
🍃 Fruit production and horticulture
🍃 Seedbed or transplant farming
🍃 Hydroponic farming
🍃 Lawn care and landscaping
🍃 Seed treatment before planting
Application Rate and Method of Biohealth Fertilizer:
Soil: 4-5 kg per hectare during the growing season, at a depth of 5 cm in the soil for prevention and treatment (1-2 kg per application, meaning 2-3 times during the plant’s growth season).
Irrigation: 1-2 kg per hectare via irrigation in flood or drip systems.
Root Treatment: Solution of 0.1-0.2% (1-2 grams per liter of water) for root treatment before planting.
Substrates: 0.1–0.5 kg per cubic meter of soil.
Seed Treatment: 100-200 grams per 100 kg of seed based on thousand grain weight (T.G.W).
Hydroponics: 15–20 grams per 1000 liters of nutrient solution throughout the cultivation cycle.
- The application rate may vary depending on soil characteristics, the cultivated crop, and local system conditions.
- It can be used in clayey and sandy soils with high pH, between 5–9.
